Beyster Sustainability Scholarship - CAFES

The M.A. Beyster Fund II through the San Diego Foundation establishes a scholarship for undergraduate sophomore and above students in the College of CAFES and Engineering with a recommended minimum 3.2 GPA and is based on merit. Preference for students with demonstrated interest in clean technology and sustainability (including water management and energy efficiency) and participation in a course, club or project related to sustainability. The scholarship is renewable for up to three years with the option for a fourth year dependent on submission of a letter of request to M.A. Beyster Fund. Renewal based on satisfactory academic progress and good academic standing (Cal Poly cumulative 3.2 GPA). Scholarship will not be renewed if GPA falls below 3.0. Change of major permitted if recipient demonstrates continued interest in sustainability, but scholarship is forfeited upon transfer out of the College of Engineering or CAFES. Each year a new scholarship recipient will be selected, up to maximum of four recipients at one time.
